Let CloudPanel create the web root, database, PHP configuration, and WordPress installation so the pieces are consistent.
You should be able to sign in at `/wp-admin/`, create a test post, and view it through the public HTTPS hostname.
Step-by-step
Create a WordPress site
In CloudPanel choose Add Site and select the WordPress site type. Enter the production hostname you already pointed through Cloudflare.
Use non-default administrative credentials
Choose a WordPress administrator username other than admin and generate a long unique password. Save it in a password manager.
Record database details
CloudPanel creates or requests database credentials. Record the database name and user securely, but do not publish them or place them in tutorial screenshots.
Confirm HTTPS URLs
In WordPress Settings → General, confirm both WordPress Address and Site Address use the canonical https URL.
Set permalinks
Choose a readable permalink structure such as Post name, then save. This writes or refreshes rewrite rules.
Delete unused defaults
Remove example posts, unused themes you do not need, and plugins you do not intend to run. Fewer components mean less maintenance.

Troubleshooting
If a command or screen differs from the lesson, stop and verify the version you are using before forcing a change.
What you learned
You now understand the purpose of this part of the system and have a concrete result you can verify before continuing to the next lesson.
